Please help me welcome a great addition to the Rain. Beth Butler has just joined AR and I believe she will fit in very nicely here!
I have to admit that I did not know Beth prior to last week. This is a testament to how our blogging efforts really do work. She emailed me to let me know she was enjoying my blog and I thought that was so thoughtful and told her so when I replied.
I think I may have been destined to be a detective before deciding to go into real estate for I google everything! No sooner had I replied to Beth's lovely email than I went off to find out a little more about her. Her email address told me she's with the well respected firm of EWM but upon further review I found out just how involved she is with them.
Beth is EWM's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Here's a few other things I found out about Beth. She's been Realtor of the Year twice, not once (I liken the ROTY accolade to an actor getting an Oscar - the ultimate!), she's past president of 2 local Realtor boards, she was instrumental in the merger that resulted in the present board structure in Miami-Dade county and her achievements don't end there. I was starstruck. What was she doing writing to someone like me?
It turns out Beth is a lovely, down to earth person, just the kind we love around here. We've shared a few emails back and forth and I can testify to that. That, coupled with her experience and keen insight on technology and it's role in real estate tells me she's going to post some awesome blogs. I, for one, am really looking forward to learning all I can from her. Her first post is up right now. I also found it interesting that fellow Rainer, Abraham Ramirez had previously written about the EWM Advantage Program and quoted Beth in the process. You can see his post and find out more about EWM here.
Guess what else? Beth is also connected to Ardell's cutie pie Project Blogger apprentice, Kevin Tomlinson (sorry Kevin, I couldn't resist). If you want to know the connection, do a little snooping of your own. What is it they say about the 6 degrees of separation? Maybe on the Rain it's only 4.
Please join me in extending a warm Active Rain welcome to Beth. Welcome aboard Beth. As the Weather Girls sang, Leave the umbrella at home. You're going to love it in the Rain!

Welcome Beth,
Hope you enjoy! I have been in for 3 months and I am having a blast!
Tina, thanks for stopping by and welcoming Beth.
P.S. I just looked at your blog and I can tell you straight out that I do not need to go to Localism to verify that your pretty face is all over it for Fullerton. You are filling it with local content. Wonderful! I need to stop having so much fun on the socializing side of AR and do more local posts. Great work.
Welcome, Beth!! Looking forward to hearing lots of good things from you!
Thanks, Maggie for bringing her into our collective addiction! ;o)
Welcome Beth, sounds like you are going to be a great addition to Active Rain!!
Nice welcome Maggie.
Hi Maggie-
Welcome Beth ! You are now a member of the coolest group on the net. There are some incredibly gifted and talented members here. After reading Maggie's post about you, I'm sure you're going to fit right in. If you need any help getting around here, please don't hesitate to ask : ) Happy Blogging ! !
Great job Maggie ! !
Thanks Maggie for bringing such a quality addition to our group of Bloggers. Welcome aboard Beth! Hope you enjoy the ride on the AR Train!
Ok--
So here is why this is so funny: I have been 'with' Beth/EWM for like 'a zillion years', but before EWM bought the firm I was with previously, I used to go to seminars that Beth would give for the Realtor Board on HOW TO EMAIL.
Yes----that is right, Beth was giving sessions on 'how to email'!!
That is a riot.
God, I'm old! Thank god that EWM has an on-staff cosmetic surgeon. They realize how important beauty and image is here in Miami.
Welcome Beth,
Come on and join the party...or did Maggie already help you do that?
If you need any assistance ,please feel free to email me.
Maggie
Call me whatever you like. Good lighting is important.
Beth,
Welcome to Active Rain - I look forward to learning more about you and Real Estate in general through your blogging!
Good job, Maggie!
VAL
Welcome Aboard! Nice recognition...
ps. I think there's a Beth Butler in AZ who's a Realtor as well...
Cheers,
Uzi Husain

Welcome aboard Beth , i look forward to all of your participation and blogs. Take advantage of what this site has to offer :)
Eddy
Welcome to Active Rain Beth - we really look forward to hearing what you have to say. As for Kevin...LOL! I know plenty of ugly EWM agents...did they not hear about the cosmetic surgeon?? You cracked me up!
This was very nice of you Maggie - what a great welcome.
Ines
You know it is in the firm's benefits plan. True beauty is a commitment!
Maggie
Congratualtions to you and to Beth. I do know either of you - but would like to make one observation.
Beth's taking the time to contact you and compliment you on your use of this medium is an example of why she has been successful and has achieved the recognition she has. She took time to reach out to you and the resulting relationship will be beneficial to both of you - and to the AR community. Just as your contributions to the blog through your time and efforts attracted her attention.
But that is how it is supposed to work. It is the perfect win/win situation for everybody - and the circles get larger and larger.
Keep up the good work.
Maggie,
Great acquisition. Welcome Beth. I'm relatively new, so I'm still feeling my way around. What I already know, though, is that Rainers offer solid ideas and Beth will certainly add to that.
Hi kids! I've been out all day and look at what I come back to. A featured post. Thanks Easter Bunny, I mean, Moderators. =)
Vickie - thanks for welcoming Beth. I knew the warmth would just ooze from you Rainers!
Sarah - hi! Poor Beth, after this post, she may be afraid to post ever again? Naaah! I'm sure she'll deliver time and again.
Maureen - thank you! I appreciate your kind words.
Ryan - Beth's experience in the field is so beyond mine that I am eagerly awaiting her posts as well.
Beth - hi there! I was afraid you'd be embarassed by all my gushing. I meant it with the utmost respect. You're awesome.
Kelli - offering to help Beth is exactly what this network is all about. Thanks!
Lisa - I really had nothing to do with it. I got lucky that she hadn't joined yet. Phooey on you Kevin! ha ha ha
David - takes one to know one! Mr. High Caliber himself. =) Is Florida the heaviest populated AR state? Making it to page one here is hard work!!
Oh look, it's Cutie Pie, Er, I mean Kevin. Kevin that is hysterical but what were you sending emails out on? The Commodore 64? Remember those? Oh, my, I think I regret giving up dying my hair. I'm beginning to feel real old all of a sudden. So, did Beth teach you well or are you still struggling? lol
Neal - you've always got a party on your mind, eh? lol Thanks for the warm welcome to Beth. You rock Tall Dude!
Tony - thanks! Although I am fully aware of the power of the Rain, it's always a delightful surprise to see it play out again!
Kevin - lighting? Get real dude. Try good genes. Thanks for the permission to call you whatever I please. A license to thrill, so to speak. Watch out!
Val - thank you. The beauty of this network is being able to connect with so many able professionals who share so readily of their expertise. Someone commented on a blog and called the 25K+ members her Swat team. I think it's an accurate description!
Uzi - thank you. Why not invite her to splash around in here? The more, the merrier. I'll even let you borrow the title of my blog when you introduce her. lol
Broker Bryant - thanks for that vote of confidence! I do appreciate it.
Eddy - thanks for your comment. I remember losing sleep the first month as I tried fevereshly to take advantage of what this site has to offer. lol It soon became apparent that there was no way I could include it all. I tried though!
Ines - you're always so funny. Actually, the only EWM agents I know happen to be good-looking folk. Really! Hmmm, maybe Kevin is right about the surgeon?
Kevin - you again? =) You have a benefits plan? Hmmm, maybe I'm with the wrong co.
Ted - thank you. It's nice when things fall into place the way they should, isn't it? Unfortunately, sometimes Murphy's Law prevails. Luckily for me, not this time.
Monika - I can't wait to get to know Beth, much the same way I've been getting to know you and your hubby through your blogs. How's that cute grandson of yours?
Beth - you're back again! So glad to see I didn't scare you off. Oh, no, is that addictive behavior you are exhibiting right now? LOL, you're hooked for sure!
Esko - thank you! Welcome to the Rain yourself. It sounds as if you are already well on your way to discovering the many benefits of participating here.
Ines - I agree with Beth. That's not a benefit you have need of. =)
Uh oh - Beth is back yet again. The diagnosis is complete: Totally Addicted. The 12-Step Program, if you want it, is available for a nominal fee of $999, which you can make in 10 easy payments. Didn't anyone tell you that's how Active Rain generates their income?
Irina - you snuck in while I was typing. Thanks for stopping by!
Ines - negotiate for something better, girl. You don't need it.
Hi beth

Woof woof
Welcome to Active Rain Beth. You're not only with a wonderful group of professionals, they will soon become your friends. Enjoy
Hi Rex. You seem like such a nice doggie. I just sent you a private email. I don't think you need to have your master read it to you as you seem to be doing pretty well on your own. Welcome to the Rain yourself!
Frank - the fun part is what gets me into trouble. There's just not enough time to take it all in!
Danny - hello! Thank you for that very nice comment. I'm sure you'll be singing to Beth as well pretty soon. Beth, Danny sings really well!
Michelle - that's a great way to put it! Warm & fuzzy. It is that way around here, isn't it? (well, most of the time. We won't tell beth yet about the other times. lol)
Hi Jennifer - thanks for the nice welcome to Beth. And for reading her post! It's all about engaging others enough that they want to keep reading and making connections.
Hi Melody! Thanks for stopping by. Friends on Active Rain are one of the nicest benefits. I keep making new ones all the time.
Celeste - you're funny. I almost heard your enthusiasm from Hawaii all the way to South Florida. That's a long way! Thanks for joining in.
John - good point! I'm actually looking forward to meeting many Rainers. I haven't met one in person yet. Being this close in location to Beth makes it easier to accomplish. But then again look at Ines, Nick and I. We live relatively close to each other and life has gotten in the way so we haven't had lunch yet. And I offered to spring for Taco Bell and everything. lol Maybe I should up the ante? I think I may start a South Florida thing going. Thanks for the inspiration!
Leon - thanks for stopping by. This place is growing exponentially and the numbers are mind-boggling. I'm trying really hard to read a lot of the new stuff out there and it is getting harder and harder each day.
Beth welcome to AR. You couldn't have been introduced by a nicer person. (at least not on here) Just kidding...there are plenty of fine people that do not hesitate to jump in and help you out...whether its a kick in the butt or hand to lift you up. Maggie has been the all-time-most-enthusiastic person here.
Welcome! I am looking forward to your contribution to the active community.
