I just read a post written by Michelle DeRepentingy that made me stop and think how our blogs are, and will continue to be, a work in progress. And even if you've yet to post your actual first AR post, this applies to you also. At some point the blogbug will bite you and you'll post for the first time. You'll be smitten and will continue to post.
It's perfectly fine to post even though you think you may not be ready. Who is looking for perfection? We're all searching for our "voices" as everyone tells us. But even when we find it, we will continue to try new things on our blogs. We'll adapt it and play with certain things and entertain others in the hopes of making it better, or at least keep up with the never-satisfied request for fresh content.
The thing that really came to mind when I read Michelle's post was the Norman Martin song (better known as the song that Shari Lewis, Lambchop, Charley Horse and Hush Puppy sang). If you're not familiar with it, I've placed a link to it below. If you are familiar with it, sing along with a minor change to the lyrics and tell me it doesn't suit this blogging thing to a "T?" All together now!
This is the Blog that doesn't end.
Yes, it goes on and on, my friend.
Some people started blogging, not knowing what it was.
And they'll continue blogging forever just because---
This is the Blog that doesn't ends.
(repeat until you can no longer stand it!)
Yes, we may be working, but don't forget to enjoy yourself while you're at it!

Maggie, cute, cute, cute!!!!!!! Very creative and I love it. The song made me smile and the post is so true. What the heck is smitten? Is that something you wear on your hands when it's cold? :)
LALA LA LALA LA LA LA LA.........I'll be humming that tune all night now. Thanks!!!
Broker Bryant - I hear Billie has a lovely voice, she can sing while you hum. Big lol on the mittens!
Gary - on my honor, when I read her post, it just popped into my head. It seemed to fit so well I just had to share it.
Fran - you are too funny! Now, did you mean you love the puppet or the meat? Poor Lambchop!!
Maggie: I remember Shari Lewis when she was a YOUNG woman on TV entertaining my sons! Unlike the "it'sa mitten" Bryant, I turned it off before it infected me!
Jay
Hi Cynthia! I had a love/hate relationship with the song myself. I loved starting it but then it would be difficult to give up so I would drive myself nuts with it. Go figure.
Thesa - what a sweet thing to say. Thank you! I love being able to make people laugh sometimes. I have one friend with whom I can laugh and laugh about anything that comes out of our mouths. We just affect each other like that. But for the most part most people don't find me all that funny, no matter how hard I try. lol Thanks for laughing =)
Jay - wow. Not to be disrespectful or anything, but that must have been a long time ago! I always did enjoy Shari Lewis and also the Garden of Makebelieve in the 70's with the chucklepatch flowers that giggled.
Im with Ines ... kind of annoying. Especially when my 11 year old overhears it and WONT STOP SINGING IT!
I love blogging, and blogging only works if you love it. :)
Hi my little grouches! LOL, the song is annoying, I'll grant both Ines and Mariana that. Thank goodness both my girls gave it up a while ago.
You ladies are both great writers and your love for the medium shows in your posts. I keep pinching myself as I still can't believe I can write as much as I want by blogging and at the same time have it benefit my business. Am I dreaming?
Maggie:
Do I dare say BOTH? :) :P
Hi Maggie,
Now I've got that song stuck in my head:)
I'm glad you liked my post.
Stay Great Maggie,
Paul
Paul - thanks for visiting! And thanks for the thoughtful comment. I'll keep popping over to your blog to keep tabs on you lol I did enjoy it.
Mariana - isn't that the most amazing thing? I'm finding the same thing myself. It is truly fabulous. Big lol on your never logging off. I know the feeling =)
Maggie, you can tell it's Friday!!!! Everyone here will be at Happy Hour this evening signing "This is the drink that doesn't end.... it goes on and on my friend!!!
Happy TGIF (the 13th)
Hi Bob! I missed the Friday fun. lol I had such a long day yesterday I never even made it back online. Hope it wsa fun! That's a funny icon.
Michelle - wow, I can't wait either! Well, I had to mention you. You inspired it. And I didn't want to go and tell you as it's more fun when it's discovered. Here's more happy thought...have a fabulous weekend!
