The carefully wrapped presents are unwrapped now. Shreds of papers strewn about. Some glittery bows catch my eye. The kids are playing with some of their new gifts. A couple of people are back in bed sleeping since they got up so early.
We celebrated Noche Buena last night. This morning we sang happy birthday to Jesus (the Reason for the Season) before making the rounds with the gifts.
Since our labor intensive celebration was last night, we have an easy day ahead of us. I have nothing planned but to enjoy the day with my family. But I wanted to come on over to Active Rain, family now too, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
Here's wishing you all receive the gifts you long for. And wishing that the new year doesn't beat us up as the current one seems to have done. After all is said and done, it's been a good year. I count each and every one of my blessings and am grateful for them.
Among the many blessings I count is Active Rain and the many friendships I've made here.
Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Hi Maggie, Joy to the World to you and all you dear ones. Merry Christmas!
Ginger
Thanks, Maggie. Have a wonderful holiday with your family. We are just getting started on our Christmas day festivities here in California (adult children don't get up as early as young ones - thank goodness).
Jeff
Happy Holidays Maggie! And a very happy healthy and prosperous new year!
Missy - glad to see the kids keep you grounded, you trendsetter, you. =)
Linda - about 15 years ago I worked with a gal who was Michael Bolton's assistant (she had a part-time job with us). One day she and I were going somewhere and she had to stop at his apartment to pick something up so I got to go up and see it. What a beautiful view of Central Park it had! I will never forget it. Oh yeah, he sings good too. =)
Scott - thank you! Hope yours is going well!
Rosario - thanks for the good wishes. Things are good!
Ginger - and peace on earth, good will to men.
Midori - and many good wishes being sent your way as well!
Jeff - I guess I will enjoy my 'tweens" as long as I can. They grow up too quickly. =( Hope your Christmas is all you hoped for.
Dan - I didn't realize Michael Bolton was from New Haven. Cool beans. =) The kid will probably end up here in Florida somewhere but we will definitely holler if head your way.
Deborah - thank you! We're having a wonderful day. Hope you are too!
Sally - lots and lots of health. The rest will follow. =) Wishing you lots of the same!
Aziz - we are. Thank you! Many blessings to you friend.
