I was somewhat surprised, and more than a little disappointed to see Pat Wade's home with a For Sale sign outside. And my disappointment did not stem from the fact that she did not list with me. lol
No, my disappointment wasn't self-serving. I've seen how hard Pat has worked in the effort to incorporate the Redland.
I support Redland incorporation.
I hope Pat won't be going too far and will be available for guidance, if needed.
My best wishes to Pat and her family in their new endeavours.

Maggie, is Redland a suburb or an area of a larger city, I'm a little confused. is it a town like Estero is and they want to turn it into a city?
Maggie, Thank you for the kind words. My husband and I are tired of the fight to preserve our beautiful Redland agriculture and decided it was time to hand the reins to the younger folks. We hope they appreciate what a wonderful and unique place this is and can keep the wolves from the door for another 50 years. We will miss our nursery and wonderful friends but need to move on.
Thank you, Pat Wade
Pat - how wonderful of you to stop by! You have fought long and hard to incorporate and it's been an uphill battle the whole way. I, for one, appreciate what you have done.
I told Cora M. (before your home even went on the market) that I wanted to get in touch with you about becoming more involved in the efforts to incorporate. I am still interested in doing more and hope that I am able to reach you. I hate to think what the developers will turn our beautiful Redland into if left to them.
If you do make it back here, please email me. I would love to have you as a guest writer on my local Redland blog www.TheBlogThatAteMiami.com I may drop you a note. I pass your home almost daily.
