No pictures. No Bells. No Whistles. Just savings!!
I just read Sarah Cooper's post about Mini Moo cards. She turned me on to them too. I have placed my order for 1000 and will report later as to exactly what I will do with them.
But for right now, I wanted to let everyone know of a free promo code you can use to get a free pack of Moo cards. Buy two get one free. A $20 savings. Heck, I was ordering 5 packs at full price but this is sweeter!
I am always thrifty. So I googled "Moo Cards Promo Code" and found one! ROFL
Here it is:

But hurry, this expires November 30th!!

Maggie ..... It expires November 20th ?????? Today is November 28th.... I think they are already expired.

Sean, it was a typo. My parents celebrated their birthdays (not their anniversary) on November 20th so I had the date stuck in my head. Silly me.
I fixed it already but I guess you had the browser open while I was correcting it.
It expires the 30th.
Hi Maggie,
I took a look, but I can't quite figure out how someone would use these?
Hey Maggie - I loved these on Sarah's post and am thinking about doing some for me. Thanks for this promo code!!
Sarah had some interesting ideas for uses on her post. How are you going to use yours?
Ann
I love the idea of googling for a promo code or coupon! I never thought to do that before, but I will now - thanks for that idea!!
Ann
I am SO doing this!!!! Thank you Maggie!!!
For those not sure how to use them, I'm using them as a business card for my blog. In my post I used the example of taking one in to the manager at our new Tim Horton's and telling him I wrote about the good service I received there. I would fan out my little Moo cards (all different West Virginia pictures) and let him pick. Then he's got a picture he likes, and he might keep it or show it around because it's different. He has a little piece of local art. :o) And he might spread the word to his employees, family and friends that they were written up in a flattering way. He's got the card, he won't forget the name after a busy day. And maybe he'd want a little stack of them to give to customers. Who knows how many ways this could spread from one contact? Or how much more if I keep doing it all over the place?
... I'll never get this house cleaned for my company!!!
Hey everyone! Read Sarah's post. She's already explained it better than I could (and she just commented above with a recap).
I am using these to "officially launch" my blog to the public in a few weeks (after I get them). I will drop them all over town (with the help of friends) and hope to drive traffic (and business) to my blog. Full details will follow after I have done it.
What makes them unique and, in my eyes, better than using a standard business card, is twofold:
1. Its small size. It won't look like a business card so it won't be perceived as junk wherever you may leave them.
2. the fact that you can use 100 different pictures for your 100 cards! So they will all be intriguing. I did not order that many different ones. Only 10 different but they are all colorful, eye-catching prints that will make people who see them wherever I "drop" them want to pick them up!
Sarah's idea is different than mine and great! I am going to use it later and take pictures of local icons to do as she suggests.
I absolutely love these!
Yee Haa - Sarah and Maggie, you two are just awesome with these cards and ideas and of course the promo code from Maggie!!!
I'm going to work on this today so I can get that discount for mine!! Thanks again for sharing that!
Ann
Monika, yes! But that is only one of the uses. Use your imagination and come up with some more ideas. And let us know how it goes.
The promo code expires today!
Hey Maggie - just placed my order, but that promo code is no longer valid, in case anyone else tries to order these using this code. I had fun picking out my pics to use and then cropping them. My order will ship next week sometime.....looking forward to receiving them!!
Thanks again, Maggie!
Ann
Early Bird catches the worm...but not this morning!! Happy December 1st!!
Ann - awww, sorry the code didn't work for you. But even at regular prices they're sweeeet. Enjoy!
Monika - I have to let Sarah know that she started a progression of Moo cards being shipped all over the country. Do you Moo? I Moo!
Susie - oh my! I knew it was supposed to be December today but the full impact of that didn't register until I read your comment. Have so much holiday stuff to do! LOL
So how did it work? would you buy them again?
Stone - the cards are adorable. Truly. My marketing plan produced no results whatsoever though! LOL But the cards are so darn cute that it makes you want to think up more ideas on ways to use them. I'm thinking maybe a picture of the front of a listing with the contact info on the back? You could give some to your sellers to keep with them and if they meet anyone who may be interested instead of giving them your business card (and they would forget which house it is) they could use the Moo cards instead? That's just an idea I have. I need to revisit. I really love them!
