Getting What You Want

Here's someone who knows how to get what he wants. Beth, do we have any open positions?

This is not a trained bird folks! This is a seagull in Aberdeen, Scotland who has discovered he can just go into the convenience store when the shopkeeper's not looking and steal his daily bag of chips (always the same, Doritos)! Resourceful, no? Once outside, he tears into the bag and his friends dig in as well. Customers find it so funny that they pay for his stolen chips. Notice how he looks around to make sure the coast is clear and how he speeds up once he's outside. Hysterical!

I went back and turned the volume on, Sarah.  Very appropriate!

I first saw this tape a few months ago.  It confirmed my theory that gulls prefer Doritos over other chips. It's a Florida experiment I've been working on for years.

Chris - you may not believe this but when I saw this video this morning I started thinking about something I had read about what you just said and it bothered me that I couldn't remember where I had read it.  It was you!  Thanks for solving the mystery.

Maggie, we have a dog at the gas station that comes and takes our cards back in to the owner. He gets a treat and we have one less trip inside. This was great.

There's a bird who knows shat he likes and goes for it! Pretty cool that the locals are paying for his Doritos.  On a serious note - it is a great reminder that when anyone steals, it's the honest consumers who wind up paying for it.  Okay, I'll lighten up and say this made me laugh!  Thanks Maggie.

Hi folks!  I'm glad you enjoyed the clip.  I enjoyed all of your comments!  Thanks.

Jason, I'm not sure exactly how you mean that but you guys are friends so I'll just smile and say uh-huh. =)

Missy, you need to record that the next time you're there.  That's incredible!  Do they provide napkins for getting the slobber off your card?

"That's one smart bird" is what my daughter had to say.  Funny video - thanks for the laugh.

Maggie, Little One asked me to draw her a picture last night.  I drew a bird stealing a bag of Doritos!
Posted by Sarah Cooper (Real Estate Shows) over 2 years ago
Sarah - I'm happy I proved to be a muse yesterday =)  I didn't know you draw!  It's been a long time since I've taken out my charcoals and pastels.  There was a simpler time when I passed my hours drawing anything that came into my sight.  Thanks for the reminder.
Posted by Pinecrest | Coral Gables| Maggie Dokic, SFR (Prudential Florida Realty) over 2 years ago
I'm just OK at drawing.  I impress the kids, that's about it.  And like my writing, and can't do "mean".  I tried to draw a dragon for my husband's tattoo and it was just too friendly looking, no matter what I did.  It was GOOD, but he didn't need a friendly dragon.  Oh well.
Posted by Sarah Cooper (Real Estate Shows) over 2 years ago
Sarah - there's a lot to be said for goodness and light.  I go out of my way to find it.  I like nice.  It beats mean spirited each and every time.  Hands down.  Don't change.

Maggie- I am thinking the bird could be your assistant until we can figure out a way to get him (her?) a license. Looks like the bird knows what it takes ;)

HI Maggie-Funny....I love going to the beach with a loaf of bread and feeding them or taking a bag of doritos and feeding them...they never stole the bag...but every one of their brother's, sister's cousins came and it was a flying frenzy. Very cute....and thanks for commenting on my post.

Midori - the cost of the bag is well worth the entertainment provided!

Brian - and to think I missed it the first time around. LOL

Maggie, I had someone send this to me so checked it out on snopes and sure enough it was real.  They had another video on there from inside the store, it was cute also.
Posted by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) over 2 years ago
Marchel - I tend to check Snopes myself.  I find them very useful!  I read Ann Cummings' post about viruses on videos and don't want to take chances by posting them anymore.  ::sigh::
