Miami Dade Real Estate Scoop

Miami-Dade Home Buyers, Realtors Can Help!

I snapped this picture of a brand new house in Homestead on one of my many rides through the areas that I specialize in.

They say a picture speaks a thousand words.  What does this one tell you?  This homeowner is no happy camper, that's for sure!  He might have fared better if he had used a professional.  A buyer pays nothing to use the services of a Realtor® in most cases.  And the benefits are many.

So leave the plywood and spray paint for hurricane season.  Contact a Realtor® and get the service you deserve.

Missy - oh no!  Like a picket line?  I've never seen that but boy, it doesn't sound like fun.

Maggie - Yes, a picture speaks a thousand words! I have heard many stories about the amount of frustration a home buyer incurs when they buy using the builders agent. I think most do not understand the difference. It is up to us to educate and inform them. Thanks for doing just that!

Maggie, I love this, I am surprised the HOA (if there is any) has not pulled it down yet. Great post.

Maggie, maybe they are also not happy with the QUALITY of the construction or the speedines the builder is addressing their concerns with.  Good for them that they spoke up about their frustrations!

Maggie - Great post.  Sadly, most people are completely unaware that they are entering into a contract without benefit of representation.  Not a good position to be in.  Thanks for sharing this great photo.  It speaks volumes!

Hi all, thanks for your wonderful comments.  Actually, I was surprised when I saw this sign.  It was the first of it's kind I had ever seen.  That's what caused it to stand out (that and the fact that it was bigger than the truck!)  I figured this guy must really be steaming mad at the builder to do this.  There is no HOA in this community.  Most HOA's in Miami/Homestead take their responsibilities very seriously.  The sign would have been gone and pronto!  Thank you all for stopping by.

I was surprised to see it too..they must have really had a bad experience with this builder and got too upset. Interesting way to advertise though!

That's a good one! It's great having your camera ready to go...Especially being involved in AR, you never know what you can snap up to inspire you.

Neal - I thought so too.  He put some work into this one.  It's got some brackets, not just a sheet of plywood left to the mercy of the wind.  He was determined!

Dianne - the nicest thing is that in almost all cases a buyer pays nothing to use a Realtor.  I find a lot of buyers are totally unaware of this.

Caroline - amen to that!  Mine is always within reach and extra batteries are always available =)
